Charger Kids Club Enrollment
Cokato Site School Year:
This location will serve our kindergarten-5th-grade Cokato students. These students are eligible for care before school, after school, and on non-school days during the school year at our Cokato Site.
Dassel Site School Year:
This location will serve our kindergarten-5th-grade Dassel students. These students are eligible for care before school and after school at our Dassel site. Depending on non-school-day enrollment, Dassel students will attend the Cokato site on non-school days.
Little Chargers Childcare 2026-27
Little Chargers Childcare Enrollment
- Students must be enrolled in DC Play and Learn Preschool to be eligible for care.
- If a preschool section is full and your child is on a waitlist, families may register for full-time care at Little Chargers Childcare while waiting for a preschool spot to open.
- Families may choose between full-time care and preschool-day-only care.
- A daily rest time is provided. If your child does not nap, we recommend registering for an afternoon preschool class.
- All students must be able to use the bathroom independently. (recognize the need to go, use the bathroom alone, and change clothing if needed).
- Summer care requires a separate registration before the start of summer.
Learn 3/4s & 4/5s
- The Early Childhood Center (located in the Community Education building on the northwest side of the DC High School/Middle complex) will serve students enrolled in preschool classes at the center.
- Open daily, Monday-Friday, from 6:30 am- 5:30 pm, and on non-school days, except holidays.
- Families registering for preschool + care, either full-time or preschool days only, are eligible to receive care.
Cokato Elementary - DC Play and Learn 4/5s (attending Cokato Elementary)
- The Charger Kids Club room inside Cokato Elementary will provide wraparound care to preschoolers attending Cokato Elementary.
- Open daily, Monday-Friday, from 6:30 am- 5:30 pm, and on non-school days, except holidays.
- Families registering for preschool + care, either full-time or preschool days only, are eligible to receive care.
- Students attending before school (6:30 am - 8:00 am) or after school between (3:10 pm - 5:30 pm) will receive care through our Chargers Kids Club program, of which the cost of attending is built into the daily fee. Charger Kids Club is open to students in preschool-grade 5. However, groups will be broken down by similar-aged students.
Schedules
Daily Schedules:
Daily schedules work best for families who need care on specific days of the week. For planning and staffing purposes, we’re unable to accept rotating schedules or day swaps. Daily schedules remain the same each week. Additional days may be added if student-to-staff ratios allow.
Weekly Schedules:
Families who attend full-time each week for the entire summer receive a discounted rate.
Drop-In Care:
Drop-in care is available, provided the student-to-staff ratio allows. There may be an additional fee for drop-ins on a field trip or special event day. Drop-in fees are due when dropping off or picking up for after-school care.

If you are registering your child for morning or afternoon care and need drop-in for the opposite option, you can indicate that when registering.
District Non-School Days Only:
- Pre-registration for each non-school day is required.
- To ensure adequate staffing, registration for non-school days is separate from contracted days and must be done two weeks before the non-school day.
- Each child must have an active contract and register in advance for each non-school day.
- Non-school days are allocated in the calendar posted online.
- If care is only needed on non-school days, the non-school day-only rate, as seen on the fee scale, will be assessed.
