Summer Information

About Summer Care

We offer childcare for preschool through 5th grade, Monday–Friday, from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. during the summer months.

  • In the mornings and late afternoons, children have the opportunity to be in age-mixed groups. During the main part of the day, students are separated into age-appropriate rooms.
    • In their age groups, children stay engaged through weekly-themed activities that include games, crafts, STEM activities, and special guests.
    • We work learning into our everyday activities so children don’t feel like they’re in school while still learning through play all summer long.
    • Social-emotional development is also a key focus throughout the summer.
  • We take several field trips throughout the summer, organized by age group and at an additional cost.
  • Children in kindergarten through 5th grade will have opportunities to use the swimming pool throughout the summer.
  • During the summer, we participate in the Summer Food Program when available, allowing children to receive free lunch while the program is running.
  • Breakfast is offered daily from 7:30–8:00 a.m., and an afternoon snack is also provided.
  • Summer Recreation: We offer an excellent opportunity for families!
    • If your child is registered for a Summer Recreation activity or on-site class during the summer, our staff can walk them to and from the activity at no additional cost. This allows your child to take advantage of all the fun summer offerings while you’re at work.

Picking the right summer schedule for your family

Daily Schedules:

Daily schedules work best for families who need care on specific days of the week. For planning and staffing purposes, we’re unable to accept rotating schedules or day swaps. Daily schedules remain the same each week. Additional days may be added if student-to-staff ratios allow.

Weekly Schedules:

Families who attend full-time each week for the entire summer receive a discounted rate.

Drop-In Care Option

This option is best for families who may need care occasionally. Drop-in care is available as long as student-to-staff ratios allow. An additional fee may apply on days with scheduled field trips or special events. Drop-in fees are due in advance.

  • If drop-in care works best for your family, please select “Drop-In” as your schedule choice during registration
