Drivers Education
Learning to drive is an exciting milestone for many students. At Dassel-Cokato High School, students may choose to take Driver Education as an elective course, which many students complete during their 9th grade year. Most students register for the class during 8th grade course registration.
Currently, the course is offered in person only and is not available online. There is a fee for the classroom portion of the course, as well as a separate fee for behind-the-wheel training, which is also offered through Dassel-Cokato.
Students who complete the classroom portion of Driver Education through another provider may still participate in behind-the-wheel training at DC, provided that space is available.
Because many of our instructors also serve as coaches, officials, and school bus drivers during the school year, most behind-the-wheel training is scheduled during the summer months.
