Dassel-Cokato Middle School Recognized as One of MN's Top Middle Schools

Dassel-Cokato School District Proudly Announces Dassel-Cokato Middle School Ranked as #16 Top Middle School in Minnesota

Dassel-Cokato School District proudly announces that Dassel-Cokato Middle School has been recognized as the #16 top middle school in Minnesota, as determined by U.S. News & World Report rankings. This recognition reflects the exceptional effort, dedication, and hard work of our students, staff, and families in creating an environment that promotes academic excellence.

“We are thrilled and honored to be named among the top middle schools in Minnesota. This achievement is a direct result of the commitment of our entire school community,” detailed by Dassel-Cokato Middle School Principal Alisa Johnson.

The U.S. News rankings highlight schools that excel in educating all students, ensuring each child is equipped with the knowledge and skills for success throughout their educational journey.  Rankings are based on a combination of proficiencies and performances in reading/language arts and mathematics, as demonstrated through state-required tests.  It also balances this in consideration of a school’s ability to support the student population given its unique demographic and socioeconomic factors.

Dassel-Cokato Middle School earned “well above expectations” ranking factors in both reading and math. This high level of performance has earned it a spot among the top 20 of the 455 middle schools ranked in Minnesota.

“We are incredibly proud of our middle school for receiving this distinguished recognition,” said Superintendent Mark Raymond. “The hard work of our teachers and staff, along with the support of our families, ensures that all students are prepared for success both academically and in life.”

Recognizing Dassel-Cokato Middle School as one of Minnesota's top middle schools is a proud moment for our district. We look forward to continuing our work in partnership with families and the community to ensure that all our students have the skills and resources needed to thrive.
