September/October

One month into the 2019-2020 school year and we are off to a great start.  Enrollment is stable this year, our MCA results are strong and we’re seeing students focused and hard at work.  Minnesota weather is always something we can talk about and this fall seems to be no exception. We’ve seen both cool fall days and hot, humid mixed in.   Humidity is something Minnesotans are very well acquainted with it but at times our volatile MN weather can be something that overwhelms our ability to control it.  These past couple of weeks would be a great example of just that. The dew points literally overwhelmed the school a couple of times - humidity coupled by hundreds of people...not a good match.  However, just as suddenly we now have snow in the forecast!

Homecoming was a great week, full of lots of Charger spirit.   Each of the buildings had their own dress-up days and it was fun to see the creativity of our students. Check out the picture collages from each school on their webpages.  My thanks to everyone who helped make an exciting week run smoothly, students were having fun while staying on top of their learning.

MEA break and Parent/Teacher conferences are around the corner.  A good group of new teachers has joined our team this year, if you haven’t already had a chance to meet them, please do so at conference time.  I encourage you to take advantage of the opportunity to connect with your student’s teacher(s) as well as enjoy the few days off as a chance to relax and enjoy the fall weather.  Daylight Saving Time ends in just a few short weeks and the holiday season will be here before we know it!
