    HEALTHY STUDENTS LEARN BETTER!
The Health Services team includes a Licensed School Nurse and three Health Assistants, certified in CPR and First Aid, who work together to meet the health needs of our students and promote wellness. The team has a unique understanding of students’ physical, social and emotional health needs and how wellness has an impact on learning.

MN Department of Health recommended screenings:

    • Hearing and Vision: grades K-3, 5, 7, 10
      • as well as students who are referred by a parent, teacher or the student themself
    • Scoliosis: girls in grades 5-6

Referrals are provided for further examination as needed and can help connect families with care and resources.

Parents and Guardians

  • Please contact the Licensed School Nurse, Jenny Heidecker, if your child has special health needs, requires medication or nursing assistance during the school day, or if you have questions or concerns regarding your child's health.

Emergency Health Plans are developed for children with conditions like asthma, severe allergies, diabetes, seizure disorders, or other health condition that could become an emergency at school. Please notify the School Nurse if your child has one of these health conditions and we will work together to create a plan that can help keep your child safe and healthy at school.
