I am Darrin Allen, and I am assuming the role of Primary Dean of Students for the upcoming academic year. While this marks my first year in this capacity, I bring with me five years of experience within DCHS. My previous roles include teaching Social Studies, serving as a long-term substitute for the Academic Dean, and coaching wrestling and strength and conditioning.

Throughout my career, cultivating meaningful relationships has been fundamental to my approach. I am eager to continue fostering connections with students, staff members, and parents alike. I look forward to having the opportunity to work with all the people I will have on this new journey.

Beyond my professional endeavors, my wife Courtney and I are proud parents to Kennedy (2), with another child expected in late January. Outside of school and coaching, my interests include outdoor activities, working on different projects around the house, trips to our cabin, and spending time with my family.

I look forward to the upcoming school year and am enthusiastic about witnessing the achievements that lie ahead.

My name is Amanda Scherping and I will be serving as secondary Dean of Students this year. I also serve alongside our guidance department. I have been the Academic Dean at DCHS for the past six years. Prior to DCHS, I was a high school social studies teacher and worked in various at-risk programs in addition to coaching volleyball, gymnastics, and track.

My husband, Clint and I have eight children ranging from 2 years old to a junior at DCHS. We have a farm with beef cattle, chickens and hogs in Dassel, MN. My husband grew up in the Dassel-Cokato area and I am originally from SE Minnesota. After moving to Dassel, I fell in love with this community and I have a great passion for the people and values here. I am honored to serve your families and I am looking forward to a great school year!
